Metsovo
Metsovo is the most picturesque villages of Greece. The traditional architecture with the Metsovian mansions will impress you. Paved alleys, stone fountains that flow in fresh water. A visit to Tositsa's Mansion, where the Museum of Folk Art is housed, will give you a complete picture of the life of the place, which is still preserved today. Here you will find concentrated woven and weapons, looms and old icons, local costumes, household farmware. Wander around in shops selling folk art, wood sculpture and textiles.
You will also find in abundance pure local products prepared according to traditional recipes that count centuries. Metsovo is famous for its cheese products. A great impetus for the production of cheese products was the creation of the cheese factory of the Tositsa Foundation, which took place in 1958. The aim of the cheese dairy is to maintain the livestock breeding in Metsovo and the surrounding area. The types of these cheeses are: Metsovones (smoked), Metsovella, Graviera, Parmesan cheese and Metsovissio from whole goat milk.
